“The Great Captain” Daniel Passarella is the greatest central defender ever to come from the Americas and one of the best defender-scorer in history of the game. He was a libero who excellent in the air despite his medium height and often join the attack to make a lot of scores. He was also noted for using his elbows against rivals whilst managing to avoid the referee's gaze. Passarella kept the second best record as top scoring defender only to Ronald Koeman.
